Taking tracks and blending them together... The art of the DJ.
So as not to confuse anyone
And now, to justify my username, comes the next mix by me, Killerjunglist...
FACTS:
It called Convulsion.
It go for: 1:00:58
It move about: 173 BPM
It at: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?nmngzy3nooz
It have: (Title - Artist)
Almost all of these tracks (exceptions are track 2 and 17) come directly from my own record bag. They were all encoded using Sound Forge to MP3 format at 192kbps. Despite the slight drop in quality I think they sound pretty darned good.
The two tracks NOT from my vinyl collection were ripped from CDs. I actually used to own a white label of the Freestylers remix of "Because I Got It Like That" but it was stolen (or perhaps lost) at a gig I did once. Kosheens "Suicide" has long been a favorite track of mine but I was never able to find a good vinyl copy of it, so I had to settle for a CD... I am still searching for a good vinyl copy tho.
Puerto Rico by Ed Rush and Optical is off of the "Original Dr. Shade" LP and is essentially a remix Frankie Cutlass' "Puerto Rico - Black People", a pretty rad break track. I balk at calling it an all out remix as it only really used the line "Puerto Rico" and a sort of rezzed out yell from the original.
The Upbeats remix of "Subculture" is one of my favorite tracks period. I just love the intensity so I let the thing play alomst in its entirity. For anyone who hasn't heard of Styles of Beyond I suggest this track in its original form and "Style Wars". This exact remix can be found on the "Human Resource" LP, presented by Deiselboy.
"Back @ Mine" by Decoder is a pretty old track and is off of one of the first LPs I ever bought. The high pitched "ah ah ah ah ah" noise in the background is a sped up version of a classic house noise... unfortunatly I really don't know it's origin at this time.
"Panic Attack" is an interesting track in that it gives a "featuring" credit to Nu Balance, who's voice is indeed featured on the track in a sped up, stuttered and almost completly unrecognizable way. For some reason I keep incorperating this track into a majority of my live mixes. It tends to get a crowd pumped up.
"Snow" may or may not be by the same Wildchild of "Renegade Master" fame. There really isn't a whole lot of information available on the subject, but in my opinion I think it is the same Wildchild. The basics of the two songs are too similar for my ears for it to be different artists.
So there ya go. Enjoy the tunes and remember, if you have any ideas for a mix drop a comment and I'll see what I can do.
